The Role:
We are seeking a proactive and organised Accommodation Coordinator to join our team. This role will be pivotal in managing the accommodation, facilities and group environment for people with a disability. This role assists with providing high quality care, ensure compliance and a safe living environment.
This role will be based at our Mulgrave, VIC head office, but will require travel around Melbourne.
Key Responsibilities:
General day-to-day running of facilities, including but not limited to, fleet management, developing grocery lists and general accommodation asset management and set-up.
Oversee the maintenance and upkeep of accommodation and facilities for people living with a disability.
Ensure facilities meet compliance standards with safety, accessibility and regulatory standards under NDIS and relevant legislation.
Respond promptly to facility-related issues and incidents from participants and staff.
Maintain accurate records of inspections and maintenance schedules.
Review and ensure compliance standards through conducting regular audits and risk assessments.
Monitor and ensure adherence to the yearly accommodation budget.
Work closely with the Accounts and Service Delivery Team.
About You:
Strong understanding of the NDIS and experience within the sector.
Previous experience in service delivery, accommodation and Supported Independent Living (SIL) and Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) environment is highly regarded.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Empathy and a genuine passion for supporting people living with disabilities.
Ability to offer suggestions, new ideas and step out of the role and be a leader.
