Aged Care Support Worker, Disability Support

We are building a casual Support Worker talent pool for the Ballina and Lismore area. This role supports people in the community through in-home supports and may also include short-term respite supports in accommodation settings.

This is a genuine casual role. No guaranteed hours. Shifts are offered based on participant demand and your availability. You can accept or decline shifts.

What you will do

  • Deliver person-centred supports aligned to individual support plans
  • Support daily living and community access, encouraging independence and choice
  • Maintain respectful, professional relationships with participants, families and stakeholders
  • Complete clear documentation and progress notes to required standards
  • Follow safeguarding, incident reporting and escalation procedures
  • Use behaviour support strategies and trauma-informed practice where required
  • Provide medication support only when trained, authorised and following procedures

What we are looking for

  • Minimum 1 year experience in a support work role (NDIS experience preferred)
  • NDIS Worker Screening (or ability to obtain), National Police Check
  • NSW Working With Children Check (or ability to obtain, where required)
  • Current First Aid and CPR
  • Driver licence and reliable vehicle (where community access/transport is required)
  • Strong communication skills, reliability and confidence working independently

Pay and conditions
Pay is under the SCHADS Award MA000100, casual employment, plus applicable penalties (weekend/public holiday) and allowances where relevant.
