We are building a casual Support Worker talent pool for the Ballina and Lismore area. This role supports people in the community through in-home supports and may also include short-term respite supports in accommodation settings.
This is a genuine casual role. No guaranteed hours. Shifts are offered based on participant demand and your availability. You can accept or decline shifts.
What you will do
- Deliver person-centred supports aligned to individual support plans
- Support daily living and community access, encouraging independence and choice
- Maintain respectful, professional relationships with participants, families and stakeholders
- Complete clear documentation and progress notes to required standards
- Follow safeguarding, incident reporting and escalation procedures
- Use behaviour support strategies and trauma-informed practice where required
- Provide medication support only when trained, authorised and following procedures
What we are looking for
- Minimum 1 year experience in a support work role (NDIS experience preferred)
- NDIS Worker Screening (or ability to obtain), National Police Check
- NSW Working With Children Check (or ability to obtain, where required)
- Current First Aid and CPR
- Driver licence and reliable vehicle (where community access/transport is required)
- Strong communication skills, reliability and confidence working independently
Pay and conditions
Pay is under the SCHADS Award MA000100, casual employment, plus applicable penalties (weekend/public holiday) and allowances where relevant.
