Complex Support Workers

About the role

Soteria is seeking passionate and dedicated Support Workers to join our team and provide high-quality care and support to individuals with disabilities. In this casual role, you will be responsible for assisting clients with a range of daily living activities in a 24-7 SIL home setting.

What you'll be doing

• Providing personalised support and assistance with daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks
• Facilitating community access and engagement, including accompanying clients to appointments, social activities, and recreational events
• Implementing individual support plans and collaborating with the broader care team to ensure the best outcomes for each client
• Advocating for client needs and preferences, and actively contributing to the continuous improvement of service delivery
• Maintaining accurate records and documentation to support the delivery of high-quality care

What we're looking for

• It is an essential requirement that you are both female and experienced in supporting a High Complexity client.
• A genuine passion for supporting individuals with disabilities and a commitment to person-centred, inclusive practice
• Relevant experience in the disability or community services sector, especially in a SIL home.
• The ability to communicate effectively, work collaboratively, and build positive relationships with clients, families, and colleagues
• A current Australian driver's licence
• A demonstrated understanding of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) and its principles
• Completion of a relevant qualification, such as a Certificate III in Disability, is highly desirable
