About the Role
Being Human Support Services is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Disability Support Worker to join our team In Baldivis to Mandurah. In this role, you will provide tailored support to participants based on their individual needs, goals, and support plans. You will work closely with participants to promote their independence, wellbeing, and community inclusion while maintaining a safe and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide person-centred support in line with individual care plans and participant goals
  • Assist participants with daily living activities, personal care, domestic tasks, and community participation as required
  • Support participants in developing life skills, confidence, and independence
  • Build positive and professional relationships with participants, families, and other stakeholders
  • Maintain accurate progress notes, incident reports, and other required documentation
  • Follow organisational policies, procedures, and participant support plans
  • Promote participant dignity, privacy, choice, and rights at all times
  • Respond to situations with patience, empathy, and professionalism

Skills and Experience

  • Minimum 1 year experience in disability support or a similar role
  • Experience supporting participants with a range of needs, including mental health and autism, is highly regarded
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good time management, reliability, and professional presentation
  • Ability to remain calm and responsive in challenging situations
  • A genuine passion for supporting people and making a positive impact

Essential Requirements

  • NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • National Police Clearance
  • Working With Children Check (WWCC)
  • First Aid Certificate
  • CPR Certificate
  • Manual Handling training
  • Current driver’s licence
  • Reliable and insured vehicle
  • Right to work in Australia
