Disability Support Worker

About the Role

Skycare Solutions is currently seeking a compassionate and reliable NDIS Support Worker to join our Melbourne team. In this role, you will provide person-centred support to NDIS participants, assisting them to achieve their individual goals, increase independence, and actively engage in their community.

You will work in accordance with the NDIS Code of Conduct, promoting dignity, choice, control, and inclusion for all participants.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs), including personal care (showering, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support)
• Support participants with domestic assistance such as meal preparation, cleaning, laundry, and shopping
• Facilitate community access and social participation, including attending appointments, recreational activities, and social outings
• Encourage and support participants to build life skills and work toward their NDIS goals
• Maintain accurate documentation, progress notes, and incident reports in line with NDIS compliance requirements
• Follow all organisational policies, safeguarding procedures, and workplace health & safety guidelines
• Participate in regular team meetings, supervision, and ongoing professional development

About You

• Previous experience in the NDIS, Disability, or Community Services sector
• Understanding of person-centred practice and participant rights
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
• Current National Police Check and Working with Children Check(or willingness to obtain)
• NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)
