Caring For You Services Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced and dedicated Disability Support Worker to support a high-needs paediatric client in Oakhurst, NSW. This role offers immediate start, ongoing training, and long-term stability within a supportive and professional team.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality disability and complex care support
- Support daily living activities in line with individual care plans
- Assist with PEG feeding, hoist transfers, and seizure management
- Monitor health needs and report changes
- Maintain accurate documentation and communication with the care team
- Deliver person-centred, culturally respectful care
Essential Requirements
- Certificate III or IV in Disability, Individual Support, or equivalent (preferred)
- Comprehensive training will be provided to successful candidates without formal qualifications
- Working With Children Check
- Current First Aid & CPR / Basic Life Support
- National Police Check
- Up-to-date immunisations, including influenza vaccination
- Ability to work a 24/7 rotating roster
- Strong communication, reliability, and professionalism
- Australian work rights are mandatory for this position
Highly Desirable Skills
- Experience supporting high-needs or complex clients
- PEG feeding experience
- Hoist and manual handling
- Seizure management
- Paediatric disability support experience
Training & Development
- Comprehensive onboarding and clinical training
- Specialist training provided through Sydney Children's Hospital
- Ongoing supervision and professional development
