About the Role:
We currently have a rare opportunity for an individual with rostering, administration and team leadership experience to join the Morcare team in the role of Team Leader β Rostering & Administration. The role is an important cog in the wheel of our daily client support operations, primarily responsible for maintaining the smooth functioning of the rostering function via a team of five passionate and dedicated rostering officers reporting to you.
Reporting to the Chief Operations Officer, this role will be a central partner to other operational workgroups, working collaboratively with the people and culture team and program coordinators to ensure frontline staff availability is maximised. The role is also responsible for ensuring all support workers meet Agency and industry compliance obligations. In this respect, you will have a sound working knowledge of the SCHADβs Award and its implications for scheduling.
To succeed in this role, your empathetic and compassionate nature will be matched by your experience in liaising effectively with front-line support staff and clients alike. The successful candidate will also possess a methodical approach and proven lateral thinking and problem-solving skills to ensure clients are able to receive stability in the supply of the supports they require.
The main responsibilities of your role will include:
Leading the smooth operation of the rostering function and rostering team.
Optimising the performance of the rostering function including minimisation of vacant shifts.
Oversight of data entry within the rostering and billing database (Carelink) for accuracy and compliance with business and SCHADS Award requirements.
Managing compliance of support workers with business and industry requirements (incl. NDIS WSC, WWCC, Visa, Licences and Insurances).
Managing the Unfit for Work process for support workers, and providing admin support to the Return-to-Work Coordinator.
Central point of contact for issues and incidents involving support workers, with escalation to People & Culture as required.
Supporting the implementation of support worker retention initiatives including a focus on Check-Inβs and roster optimisation.
Oversight of support worker leave ensuring accurate and timely processing.
Managing rostering team performance, including conducting goal setting and performance reviews.
Managing reception and office administration in conjunction with the Receptionist.

Requirements for the role include:
3+ years of experience working in a rostering, support worker management or program coordination role within the disability or aged care sector.
Demonstrated experience leading a team of direct reports in a similar role.
Cert IV (or higher) qualification relevant to community services sector is desirable.
Working knowledge of supports and services available through the NDIS, TAC, Aged Care and other funding sources.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to build relationships to achieve desired outcomes.
Ability to problem solve and make decisions in time sensitive situations.
Effective time and self-management.
Independence, initiative and an ability to get things done.
