Client Services Coordinator, Community Care Assistant

A leading not-for-profit organisation is seeking a compassionate and experienced Manager of Community Services to lead a multidisciplinary team delivering culturally responsive, person-centred support across remote and regional communities.

This organisation partners with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families living with neurological conditions, guided by a two-way model that blends western and traditional cultural knowledge. Their approach honours culture, community, and connection-placing families at the heart of everything they do.

This role offers the chance to help shape the next chapter of service delivery, working alongside a passionate and well-supported team.

Your new role

Reporting to the Director of Community Services, you'll provide hands-on leadership, coaching, and operational oversight to a team of Aboriginal Community Workers, Service Leads, and Support Workers.
You'll ensure high-quality, culturally safe services aligned with NDIS Practice Standards, while fostering a team culture built on trust, respect, and shared purpose.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a relationship-focused environment-someone who leads with heart, mentors with purpose, and walks alongside others like family.

  • Lead and support a multidisciplinary team delivering holistic, culturally grounded services
  • Oversee operational quality, compliance, and risk management
  • Mentor and develop frontline staff and emerging leaders
  • Support NDIS planning, service agreements, and documentation systems

  • Champion cross-cultural understanding and two-way learning

What you'll need to succeed

  • Tertiary qualification in Community Services, Health, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Experience leading staff within the NDIS or community services sector
  • Strong capability in compliance, risk management, and quality systems
  • Experience working alongside Aboriginal communities
  • Remote work experience
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and team-building skills
