Valmar Support Services is a Not for Profit Organisation who thrives to provide high quality support services to people with disabilities, aged care services, community transport and supported employment.

About the Role

Four vacancies are available for Permanent Full-Time (38 hours per week) suitably experienced and qualified individuals to coordinate Supported Independent Living (SIL) services across the ACT.

 The role involves providing direction and rostering of staff; arranging, implementing, and responding to Person-Centred Plans (PCPs) for participants; and supporting individuals to live as independently as possible by encouraging and assisting them to manage their own domestic responsibilities within a residential setting.

 Each Coordinator is responsible for the coordination of two home groups.

 About You 

  • Demonstrated experience delivering person centred services within the NDIS framework
  • Proven ability to lead, supervise and support staff. Including managing rosters, fostering accountability and professional development and building a positive team culture.
  • Strong knowledge of governance, compliance and risk management within Disability services, including incident management, Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) and other reporting obligations.
  • Highly developed organisational skills and proven ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with participants, families, staff and external stakeholders.
  • Sound judgement and problem-solving capability in complex or high-pressure situations.
  • Have well developed computer skills and proficiency in using digital systems for rostering, incident reporting, and client documentation.

 Successful applicants must be willing to undertake an ACT NDIS Worker Screening Check and hold an Australian Drivers Licence. It is essential that you hold a current First Aid Certificate and a minimum Certificate IV in Disability Services or a related discipline, along with any other relevant industry qualifications.
