Disability Employment Support Worker

About the role

Ancora National is seeking a skilled and compassionate Disability Employment Support Worker to join our team in Adelaide, SA. As a casual support worker, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with disabilities to achieve their employment goals and access meaningful work opportunities. This is a rewarding role that offers flexibility and the chance to make a real difference in the lives of our clients.

What you'll be doing

1. Providing one-on-one support to clients with disabilities, assisting them in finding, securing and maintaining employment
2. Assessing client needs and developing tailored support plans to help them reach their employment objectives
3. Liaising with employers to negotiate job placements and ensure a positive work environment for clients
4. Delivering job coaching, skills training and on-the-job support to empower clients and foster their independence
5. Maintaining detailed case notes and reporting on client progress
6. Collaborating with the wider support team to coordinate holistic care for clients

What we're looking for

1. Relevant qualifications in disability services, community work or a related field
2. Experience supporting individuals with disabilities, either in an employment, educational or community setting
3. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients
4. Patience, empathy and a genuine desire to see clients succeed
5. Excellent problem-solving and organisational abilities
6. A flexible, adaptable approach to work and the ability to think creatively
7. A current driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle with comprehensive insurance
