This Role Is for You If You:

  • Are genuinely motivated to support people with varying (sometimes complex) support needs to live full and independent lives
  • Actively engage participants in daily life and decision-making
  • Are accountable and communicate consistently with teams and leadership.

This Role Is NOT for You If You:

  • Are looking for “easy shifts” or low-responsibility
  • Are unwilling to work a variety of shift types (days, evenings, weekends, overnights)
  • Are only interested in SIL environments
  • Are uncomfortable following support plans or clinical instructions.

About the Role

You will provide person-centred support in adherence with organisational policies, and participant care plans. Support will be delivered in participants’ homes and in the community. Your responsibilities include: 

  • Provide person-centred support for daily living, personal care, and skill development
  • Facilitate community participation and meaningful activities
  • Implement individualised support plans from qualified professionals
  • Accurately document supports, outcomes, and participant progress
  • Identify, report, and escalate risks or incidents to ensure safety and compliance.

High Intensity Supports (as required and post-training)

  • Complex manual handling
  • Bowel and urinary catheter care
  • Enteral feeding and PEG support
  • Dysphagia and mealtime management
  • Diabetes management (including blood glucose monitoring)
  • Seizure management
  • Subcutaneous injections.

Essential Requirements

  • NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • Working With Children Check
  • Driver Licence and Comprehensively Insured Vehicle
  • First Aid Certificate HLTAID011
  • COVID-19 vaccination (minimum two doses).
