Position 1: Disability Support Worker (Casual)

About the role

The Da'Vange Group is seeking compassionate and dedicated Disability Support Workers to join our team in the northern suburbs of Brisbane. As a Disability Support Worker, you will provide personalised care and support to individuals living with disabilities, helping them to achieve their goals and live independent, fulfilling lives.

What you'll be doing

  • Assisting clients with daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks
  • Providing companionship, emotional support, and engaging in recreational activities with clients
  • Documenting client progress and maintaining accurate records
  • Ensuring a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment for all clients

What we're looking for

  • A genuine passion for supporting individuals with disabilities and a commitment to promoting their independence and wellbeing
  • Experience in the disability services sector, preferably in a similar role
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and work effectively with clients and their families
  • A positive, patient, and flexible approach to problem-solving
  • A valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation
  • Yellow Card, Blue Card, First Aid and CPR, and NDIS Worker Orientation Module
  • Ability to work across a 24/7 roster including sleepovers, weekends and evenings
  • You MUST be available for at least 2 sleepovers per week
  • Mental health experience is highly regarded
  • Experience with challenging behaviours is highly regarded
  • Manual Handling experience is highly regarded
  • Epilepsy experience is highly regarded
  • Certificate III in Individual Support or Certificate IV in Disability is highly regarded

Position 2: Scheduling Coordinator (Full-Time)

2–3 days Work From Home | 9am–5pm | Onsite days required

About the role

As our Scheduling Coordinator, you’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring our clients receive consistent, high-quality support by effectively coordinating staff rosters, managing shift allocations, and balancing client and employee needs in a fast-paced environment.

You’ll be the central link between our support team and clients, using your problem-solving and communication skills to maintain smooth operations and uphold service excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, manage, and optimise staff rosters in accordance with client care plans and organisational needs
  • Liaise with clients, families, and staff to resolve rostering conflicts or last-minute changes efficiently
  • Coordinate replacement staff when team members call in sick to maintain seamless service delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with the SCHADS Award and relevant workplace legislation
  • Monitor and report on staff availability, hours, and utilisation
  • Collaborate closely with management and support staff to ensure coverage for all shifts
  • Contribute to the organisation’s rotating on-call roster, providing after-hours support for shift replacements, roster changes, assisting with emergencies.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and use scheduling software effectively

What we’re looking for

  • Comprehensive knowledge of the SCHADS Award and rostering compliance
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a client-focused approach
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage competing priorities
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Proficiency with rostering systems
  • Previous experience in scheduling or rostering within the disability, aged care, or community services sector
  • Ability to work autonomously
  • A positive attitude and commitment to maintaining a high standard of service delivery
