About the role:
Holloway Aged Care Services is seeking Casual and Permanent Food Service Attendants to join our team at our residential aged care facility in Keilor East, VIC. As a Food Service Attendant, you will be responsible for the preparation, distribution, and service of meals to our residents, ensuring they receive high-quality, nutritious food in a safe and timely manner. This is a casual position with the potential for permanent opportunities.
What you'll be doing:
Assist in the preparation and portioning of meals according to dietary requirements and preferences
Serve meals to residents in a courteous and efficient manner
Ensure the dining area is clean, well-stocked, and maintained to a high standard of hygiene
Participate in food safety and quality control processes
Provide excellent customer service to residents, families, and visitors
Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment
What we're looking for:
Previous experience in a food service or catering role, ideally in an aged care or healthcare setting
Strong customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members
Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to food safety and hygiene
Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and public holidays
A passion for providing high-quality care and enhancing the dining experience for our residents
