Down Syndrome Victoria

Together, we can and will create this inclusive community.

About the FitSkills Program

FitSkills21 is an evidence-based, 10-week physical activity program designed for individuals with Down syndrome. Participants attend weekly facilitated 1-hour workouts at the gym with a volunteer partner, followed by a social meal. The program is tailored by a physiotherapist. FitSkills21 aims to enhance fitness and well-being through a supportive and inclusive approach.

The FitSkills21 program is currently delivered at 9 Victorian gyms, including metro and regional locations. This program is an NDIS-funded activity and is in its first year of delivery.
