As an NDIS Support Worker, you will play a vital role in helping participants live independent, fulfilling lives. You will provide personalised support that aligns with each individual's goals and preferences, ensuring they have the tools, resources, and care needed to thrive.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver one-on-one support to NDIS participants in their home and community settings.
Assist with daily living activities, including personal care, mobility support, and medication administration.
Implement participant care plans and support strategies as per their NDIS goals.
Assist with community engagement, social inclusion, and participation in activities.
Provide emotional and social support, fostering a respectful, empowering, and positive environment.
Monitor and report on participant progress, documenting any changes or updates in care needs.
Work collaboratively with families, other support workers, and healthcare professionals to ensure optimal care.
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized environment for participants.
Skills & Experience:
Previous experience in a support worker role, particularly in NDIS or disability services (preferred but not essential).
A genuine passion for helping others and making a positive impact.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to build trust and rapport with individuals and their families.
Patient, compassionate, and flexible in approach.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Experience with personal care, mobility support, and medication administration is desirable.
A current Working with Children Check and NDIS Worker Screening Check is required.
Valid driverβs license (for community-based roles).
Must be available 9 am, to 5 pm Monday to Friday.
