Team Leader – Disability Support Worker

About the Role
As our Team Leader, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth delivery of our programs and services. This hybrid role includes:
Support Work
- Working directly with participants during respite programs, and group day program activities
- Supporting participants with personal care, emotional regulation, communication, and daily tasks
- Using a person-centered approach to create meaningful and enjoyable experiences
- Being a role model for other support workers through high-quality, compassionate care
Leadership & Admin Tasks (flexible WFH options available)
- Assisting with program planning, and documentation
- Maintaining high standards of practice across the team
- Communicating with families, building strong relationships, and supporting participant needs
- Completing incident reports, risk assessments, and general admin tasks
- Providing guidance, training support, and encouraging a positive workplace culture
We’re flexible and understanding, admin tasks can be completed from home on arranged days, allowing you to balance leadership responsibilities with active support work in the community.
What We’re Looking For
Required:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in disability support work
- Experience supporting participants with complex needs and behaviours
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Working With Children Check
- First Aid + CPR
- Ability to work 20-38 hours per week. Must be available for Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and some weekends.
Highly Desirable:
- Certificate III or IV in Disability or Equivalent
- Auslan experience
- Strong administration or leadership experience
