We are seeking Community Disability Support Workers who are passionate and focused in facilitating and supporting people living with a disability in achieving individual goals, personal development and strengthening their existing skills, abilities, and confidence by accessing services operated by mecwacare.
What you bring:
Certificate IV in Disability or equivalent
Level 2 First Aid Certificate
NDIS screening check clearance + NDIS Orientation module
Full Victorian Driver License
Experience working with people with disabilities from diverse backgrounds
A flexible and βcan doβ attitude in assisting people with a disability to form and maintain meaningful relationships and connections within their communities.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for networking with participants, families and the community sector.
A strong understanding of NDIS Code of Conduct and Best Practice Standards.
Current Victorian Driverβs License to transport community participants to include community participation
NDIS Worker Screening
Desirable:
Ability to manage and maintain daily observations and daily documentation
An understanding or a desire to learn the principles of person-centered planning and experience in transforming plans into actions.
