About the role:
We are currently looking for an experienced Disability Support Worker for our participants in Coburg and surrounding areas.
As a Disability Support Worker, you will be responsible for providing in home support and community participation to our NDIS participants. Your duties will include assisting with personal care, medical care, household tasks and community access.
Key responsibilities:
Provide high quality care to participants
Administer medication in accordance with care plans
Support participants with mobility aids, transfers and repositioning
Provide full assistance with personal and clinical care
Support participant in achieving their goals
Provide true and authentic companionship to the participant
Perform household tasks and meal preparation
Facilitate skill development activities with the participants
Assist participants with community access and social activities
Provide in-active night supports
Skills and experience:
NDIS Workers Screening Check (NDISWSC)
Administration of medication certificate
Current First Aid and CPR Certificate
Valid Australian Driver's License and access to a car
Certificate III Individual Support / Community Services or Certificate IV Disability or other relevant qualifications or experience
Experience in a health care facility or community environment
Must be available to provide in-active night supports as part of regular rostering
