NDIS Support Worker – Casual

About the Role:
More Opportunities is seeking dedicated and reliable Support Workers to join our growing team, supporting NDIS participants to live independently and achieve their personal goals.

This is a casual position with the opportunity to transition into part-time employment with set shifts, once rapport is established and consistent routines are in place.

Rosters currently needing coverage require the ability to complete 1-2 Sleepovers a week and female workers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualised support in line with participant goals and NDIS plans
  • Assist with personal care, daily living activities, and community access
  • Implement behaviour support strategies (as applicable)
  • Assist with mobility and manual handling tasks
  • Administer or assist with medication as per individual support plans
  • Maintain accurate progress notes and incident reports
  • Foster independence, dignity, and choice for participants

About You:
We’re looking for Support Workers who are:

  • Reliable, empathetic, and person-centred in their approach
  • Strong communicators with a proactive attitude
  • Confident working independently and as part of a team
  • Comfortable supporting participants with a variety of physical, developmental, and psychosocial needs

Essential Requirements:

  • Certificate III or IV in Individual Support, Disability, Aged Care or similar
  • Manual Handling Training (completed or willingness to obtain)
  • Medication Administration Certificate
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • WWVP Check
  • Driver’s licence and access to a reliable, insured vehicle

Highly Regarded:

  • Experience with complex care, high-intensity supports or behaviours of concern
  • Knowledge of epilepsy management
  • PEG feeding, diabetes care, or bowel care experience
  • Mental health or trauma-informed care knowledge
