About the Role:
More Opportunities is seeking dedicated and reliable Support Workers to join our growing team, supporting NDIS participants to live independently and achieve their personal goals.
This is a casual position with the opportunity to transition into part-time employment with set shifts, once rapport is established and consistent routines are in place.
Rosters currently needing coverage require the ability to complete 1-2 Sleepovers a week and female workers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individualised support in line with participant goals and NDIS plans
- Assist with personal care, daily living activities, and community access
- Implement behaviour support strategies (as applicable)
- Assist with mobility and manual handling tasks
- Administer or assist with medication as per individual support plans
- Maintain accurate progress notes and incident reports
- Foster independence, dignity, and choice for participants
About You:
Weβre looking for Support Workers who are:
- Reliable, empathetic, and person-centred in their approach
- Strong communicators with a proactive attitude
- Confident working independently and as part of a team
- Comfortable supporting participants with a variety of physical, developmental, and psychosocial needs
Essential Requirements:
- Certificate III or IV in Individual Support, Disability, Aged Care or similar
- Manual Handling Training (completed or willingness to obtain)
- Medication Administration Certificate
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- WWVP Check
- Driverβs licence and access to a reliable, insured vehicle
Highly Regarded:
- Experience with complex care, high-intensity supports or behaviours of concern
- Knowledge of epilepsy management
- PEG feeding, diabetes care, or bowel care experience
- Mental health or trauma-informed care knowledge
